It's That Time of Year Again!

July 7 is finally here, people! Big Brother starts tonight. Which means, that Big Brother After Dark does too. Which also means that I will be absolutely worthless everyday until I have watched all three glorious hours. That's not even counting the CBS shows (three nights a week, baby) and the time spent on BB websites. Don't ask why I am so into this, because I have no clue. All I know is I love it. Every minute of it. I love watching these fame hungry people lay around all day, painting their nails, cooking, and most of all talking about each other and (this is my favorite word for it) scheming. Good stuff.
The thing I am most excited about tonight is the possibility that these pairs will re-enter the house along with the newbies.
Please note: I am NOT excited about "Brenchel" coming back, but if they come back and Dick comes back...OOOOOOOOHHHHHH yes! That will be the best TV I have seen in a while. He is a horrible-slash-gross-slash-nasty-nasty man, but I kinda love him. I think it's the fact that he says stuff no one else will say. As a person born with no backbone, I get a thrill watching him scream obscenities at people.

Please, pleeeeeease, oh please let them come in together! And Camera Men, please, pleeeeease, oh please do not film Rachel as much as you did last summer. I can't take it. I just can't take it.

10.5 hours to go! awwww yeeeeeeeah!

My Guilty Pleasure

Let it be known that you will probably think much less of me after reading this post. Please, please do not judge too harshly.

I must admit that I have a thing for reality television. I want to hate it and not ever watch it, but it's just impossible. They have had a kung fu grip on my heart ever since MTV's Real World, and I'm afraid they'll never let go. My new love is titled "Pregnant in Heels". It airs on Bravo (which should tell you a lot). Please don't hate me.
The show follows Rosie Pope, maternity designer and pregnancy concierge. That's right. Pregnancy concierge, someone who is paid mega bucks to do ridiculous things for her pregnant clients. I really like Rosie. She has a two year old son and is currently having to undergo fertility treatments. She speaks openly about her situation, which I think was the first thing I was drawn to. My other reasons are much more shallow. I love her outfits, her flamboyantly gay assistant, and all of her seriously deranged millionaire clients. It's like watching COPS, Project Runway, and A Baby Story all in one show! If you ever watch it, don't expect to be blown away. The parents she visits are unbelievably dumb, but I'm guessing that's why they're on the show. She has an accent/speech impediment which I'm sure some people find irritating, but I think it's part of her charm. The show is far from award winning, but I am not going to lie...I kind of love it. For reasons I can't quite explain. I hope you can understand.

Royal Obsession

So Friday...Any other normal Friday, right? Not. Well, it was until a couple of days ago when I went home sick with a horrible stomach virus. Lying in the bed all day with nothing to do but watch television and run to and from the bathroom, I became sucked into the whole Royal wedding explosion. Normally, I would watch Food Network, but in my condition, that was certainly not an option. That left E! and TLC. And let me tell you, they had back to back to back specials on the wedding, the family, past weddings, past divorces, you get it. Same shows, different titles. But I couldn't can't get enough. So now, I am completely invested. As I type, I am watching a special on demand (I know, shameful) on Fergie, the Duchess of York. And there are several more! That means hours and hours more of drama and scandal! Not to mention beautiful fantasies of what the wedding might be like. I love all of the pomp and pageantry. The dress, the flowers, the food, the hair, ALL OF IT!

Consider yourselves warned. I will probably be revisiting this topic after the nuptials. Silly, I know, but try to understand. I am a girl.
